Just got back from it, the movie seems a good bit different from the previous two, but will still undoubtedly rock your socks off. I'll just leave it at that so as not to spoil anything for anyone

I saw it today also and if you liked the first two you will enjoy this one also. In reviews I had read about the "false" endings and it is true that it goes through too many of those. I felt it could have ended earlier and not ruined things. I know we don't really want the story to end, but that was going a bit too far.
Still a fantastic movie, best trilogy of all time to be sure.

I saw it today (Wednesday) too...... Absolutley Stunning!!! Some of the best film photography I have ever seen. A truly crafted movie, obviously a labour of love judging by the attention to detail.

That battle scene.....................WOW!!!!

I think the most breath-taking thing is seeing the white city, makes everything seem so tiny, even helms deep

I've got this rotten, rotten flu - Part III will just have to wait, although the suspense is killing me!

OK, I got to know before I go see it. I don't want to be disapointed.  Without saying too much and giving a major spoiler, I just want to know if there are any major deviations to the book?  From the previous two movies, I'm worried a bit.  Aragorn doesn't hook up with a different girl than in the book does he? (I don't say names on purpose, not to spoil it for those who didn't read the book)

No..he doesnt... Luckily.

From what I saw, it only had some very slight differences from the book...Nothing drastic like leaving out Tom Bombidil in the 1st one...

...Well, now that Ive given some more thought to it...There were a few parts with saruman that were omitted. But, in spite of that, it was a great movie...

Tom bombidil wasn't "not" in the story, they just didn't show those parts the differences in this one are some of the endings for the characters aren't all the same
