This particular subscription drive has a specific goal because of the server issue. Losing two servers in a month is very unusual and as you can imagine, catastrophic.
Replacing those servers on short notice, especially high end ones like what this site requires, gets very expensive. 500 new subscribers = $10k which should take care of 2 new servers and setting them up.
